Loyola University Chicago is a private university founded on June 30, 1870. It is a Jesuit private university and was founded as St. Ignatius College. It is also the largest Catholic university in the entire United States. It has a student population that totals to more than 15,000 enrollments. It has 71 minors and 71 undergraduate majors.
Under its programs, there are 31 doctoral degrees, 85 master’s degrees, and 26 graduate level certificate programs. Incidentally, it is also the only Catholic University that is located in Chicago.
