It also has several stores on the Eastern Seaboard and in the Mid-Atlantic region. The company’s main office is located in Pleasanton, California. Its revenue in 2009 was a staggering $40.9 billion.

You will see the options for the various jobs and careers. The options are for pharmacy, various store positions and store management. Select the option that best fits your skills.

Step 3

If you click the pharmacy careers, select from pharmacy tech or the pharmacy management positions. If you are applying for a management position, you can search among the many jobs that fit your profile.

When you find one you like, upload your resume. If you are applying for the tech positions, the link will take you directly to the application form. Fill the form with the requested information.

Step 4

If you chose store management, you can use the search box to look for specific jobs. By using the appropriate keywords you will be able to search which of the Safeway companies you want to work at too.

Step 5

If you chose the management positions link, you will be sent directly to the online employment form. You will have 25 minutes to fill the form up. If you are inactive for more than five minutes, you will be automatically logged out. To get back in you must log back in using your Social Security number.

Step 6

Answer all the questions on the form truthfully. This is not a test form, but the actual job application form. This is what the company will evaluate.


You can also fill out a job application form at any of their in-store kiosks. The company does not accept any job applications on paper. All the job applicants must be at least 16 years old. They must be eligible for employment in the United States.

Be sure to provide your contact info (phone, email, etc). Include in your resume the name and location of the last school you went to. If possible, include information about your previous jobs.

If you are applying for jobs at a Safeway store and cannot see the job application stand, ask the manager. They will point you to the right direction.
