The University of Washington or UW was established in 1861 and is one of the largest public research universities in the whole of the northwestern United States. It is also one of the oldest universities on the US West Coast. It is also known as one of the most preeminent research universities in the entire world.
The university itself has three campuses, which are located in Bothell, Tacoma, and Seattle’s University District. Its largest campus is the one located in the University District. The university covers 643 acres and has more than 500 buildings in it. It is also recognized as a Public Ivy institution.
The University of Washington motto is Lux sit or ‘Let there be light’ translating the Latin into English. Its student population totals to around 43,000 enrollments, with 30,000 undergraduates and more than 12,000 post graduates.
One of its former names was The Territorial University of Washington. In the field of sports, the university is home to 21 varsity teams participating in a variety of sporting competitions. The university’s colors are the flashy colors of gold and purple with the university mascot being Harry the Husky.

When you get to the employment page, you will have the option to search as a University of Washington employee or as an external applicant. Current employees of the university that are looking for greater employment opportunities will simply have to log in using their NetID. External applicants will have to click on “External Applicant Log In”.
After logging in, applicants will be taken to the job search page. In this page, applicants can search all the available job listings or view the jobs according to specific categories. Those who already have their candidate profiles should log in before making any job searches.
The different jobs at UW will be displayed in a list after you have made your search query. Click on a job title that you’re interested in and a page showing the specific details will come up.
